To celebrate HKUST’s 30th anniversary, The BASE Entrepreneurship Ambassadors Team decided that the best way to honor our campus’ long history is to feature the university’s long lineage of amazing and unique entrepreneurs. Our team worked closely with the Entrepreneurship Center, students, staff, and alumni to make this publication, and great dedication was put into this commemoration of the “can-do” spirit of HKUST.
 

Our team started the process of interviewing and researching various startups and entrepreneurs in January 2022. Throughout the following few months, we were constantly motivated and inspired to put our hearts into 30in30 due to the heartwarming stories and strong mentality that the interviewees displayed. However, we believe that the most challenging part was not the editing of the actual publication, but rather determining which startups and supporters will be featured in 30in30. The amount of discussion and meetings that were conducted just to conclude the 30 slots was almost insurmountable, as the campus was filled to the brim with amazing founders throughout the past 30 years. With that being said, as a disclaimer, this publication is not a ranking, but a celebration of HKUST’s 30 long years of entrepreneurship culture as a whole.
